Cilantro is an herb also known as coriander or Chinese parsely. Nobody really notices cilantro as it looks like ordinary green leaves – who would think that it provides a lot of nutrition, right? Well, it does and one small leaf is full of nutrients like Vitamin K, with some bit of Folate, Potassium, Manganese and Choline. It is also abundant in antioxidants which battles the body’s free radicals.
But, this herb also has a special function. It is very helpful for those with diabetes because the herb acts as a stimulator for insulin production without having to experience a spike in blood sugar.
