Cottage Cheese and Whole Grain Crackers
And we’re back to snacking on whole grain crackers. Actually, this combo is a bit versatile as you can substitute whole grain crackers with popcorn. Popcorn is whole grain and if you opt for the low-fat microwavable popcorn serving, this is a good alternative for whole grain crackers.
As for the cottage cheese, well, this is yummy. (I am a diehard fan of cheeses – all types.) Dietitian Elizabeth Ward says that even if it is just two ingredients, the snack is complete and great to eat. Other options of two-ingredient snacks are peanut butter with baby carrots or an apple and low-fat cooked popcorn with reduced-fat cheese.
