It is a myth – some say that if you do abs exercises with weights, you will get chunky on the midsection. This is so wrong. You need to perform weighted abs exercises if you want definition and toning of the abs. It is not advised though to perform your entire abs workout with weights. You can set aside one workout in your routine for weights – for example, Russian Twists, Cable Crunches, or Kettlebell Windmills, among others.
