Well, if the food is less processed, then, it is more natural. This is the reason why whole grains are better than refined grains – less chemicals, less preservatives, less depressed. Actually, refined grains are sugar loaded. And as Ficek mentioned, it can make you feel sad after the dopamine wears off. As for whole grains, it is rich in dietary fiber and that assists in releasing serotonin, the “feel good” hormone. If you feel happy, then, go on, right?
Note: Whole grain foods are not limited to bread alone. You can also find whole grain pasta noodles or brown rice is another alternative. Sweet potatoes are natural and healthy too. But remember, eat in moderation.
