Fast food kills the good bacteria in your tummy
The good bacteria in our tummies are actually helping the body absorb the nutrients it takes in. With that, the overall well-being of a person is in tiptop shape. He will function better because his immune system is enhanced and good bacteria also regulate the bowel movement of a person.
Now, a professor focusing on Genetic Epidemiology in King’s College of London made a short-term study on fast food meals. He enlisted his son to be the subject of the study and he fed him fast food for 10 days. After that, the professor measured the bacteria in his son’s stomach.
He discovered that species of good bacteria were eradicated. The boy also had reduced gut bacteria which was responsible for lessening stomach inflammation. In fact, 1,400 species of gut bacteria were gone in just 10 days of eating fast food. This is not a good sign.
